Job Description:

The role involves a combination of technical hands-on tasks, including operating equipment, handling chemicals, and ensuring the efficient operation of water treatment systems.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. Previous technical/mechanical/plumbing experience is especially encouraged.

  • Perform installations, start-ups, tests, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance, and sanitizations to the following high purity water treatment equipment.
  • Multimedia Filters, Carbon Beds and Water Softeners.
  • Reverse Osmosis and Nano Filtration.
  • Continuous Deionization and Resin Bed Deionization.
  • Industrial Water Purification Systems.
  • Installation and maintenance of three phase and single phase pumps including replacing mechanical seals.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs and complete complex PVC and CPVC piping projects.
  • Read and interpret Electrical Wiring Diagrams and complete low voltage wiring of the associated components.
  • Provide semi-complex training to customers on products and services, as well as documenting all installations, inspections, maintenance, and repair work.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of replacement parts and tools required for service.
  • Follow an after-hours on-call schedule and respond to all problems in an appropriate and timely manner to minimize the customer's downtime.
  • Coordinate with customers to schedule service and installations.
  • Maintain company service truck and a clean driving record.
