As a Dispensing Pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy in Ballston Spa, NY you will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment, ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. You will provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to the centers. Management skills and accuracy are required to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the customer efficiently and safely

-Supervise the pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, work flow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.

-Verify orders entered by technician staff for accuracy.

-Check for completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders.

-Check for content and accuracy of all drug packaging and labeling.

-Preparation and/or supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions

-Assist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.

-Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during scheduled rotation and as required by management.

In this role, you will be an integral member of the pharmacy team. Your success will be driven by your ability to lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality, and service. The most successful Pharmacists demonstrate excellent customer service skills, as well as a good sense of urgency. The contributions you will make as a Pharmacist will position CVS Health as a leader within the LTC marketplace.

This is a part time position with scheduling of various shifts based on the needs of the business. The weekend rotation is every other. There is an on call requirement for this position.

Required Qualifications

Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge about long term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws and other federal laws) that have an impact upon both pharmacy and Center operations preferred

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$50.48 - $84.62

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
