Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create High-Quality 3D Models:
  • Design and model 3D assets, including characters, environments, props, and vehicles, with an emphasis on detail, realism, and stylization as needed. You'll ensure models align with project aesthetics and functional requirements.
Develop and Apply Textures and Materials:
  • Create and apply textures, UV maps, and materials that enhance realism and visual quality. You'll work with shaders and lighting to bring surfaces to life, ensuring consistency across all assets.
Collaborate with Animators and Developers:

  • Optimize polygon counts, textures, and materials to maintain performance across various platforms, including mobile, AR/VR, and gaming engines. You'll ensure that assets load quickly without compromising visual quality.
Follow and Maintain Art Style and Guidelines:
  • Adhere to project style guides and artistic direction, ensuring consistency in quality and aesthetics. You'll adapt your modeling style as needed to match diverse visual styles and requirements.
Stay Updated on 3D Modeling Software and Techniques:
  • Continuously learn about new 3D modeling tools, software updates, and industry techniques. You'll incorporate these advancements to stay at the forefront of 3D design and enhance the quality of your work.
Document Modeling and Texturing Processes:
  • Maintain organized records of modeling workflows, UV maps, and texture layers. You'll provide clear documentation for future reference and for team members to understand your work process.
Requirements

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling Software: Strong skills in 3D modeling software like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, with an understanding of sculpting tools such as ZBrush.
  • Texturing and Shading Knowledge: Experience in texturing software such as Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar, with an understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials.
  • Polygon Optimization and UV Mapping: Proficiency in UV mapping, optimizing poly counts, and preparing models for real-time engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
  • Attention to Detail and Artistic Skills: Ability to create highly detailed and visually compelling models that align with artistic vision and technical needs.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Strong communication skills and adaptability for working with diverse teams, including animators, developers, and designers.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in 3D Modeling, Animation, Game Art, Digital Art, or a related field. Equivalent experience in 3D modeling and texturing may be considered.
  • Specialized courses or certifications in 3D modeling, game art, or digital sculpting are advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in 3D modeling, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality assets for games, AR/VR, animation, or visual effects.
