Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Report Engineer to join our dynamic IT Applications team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and reporting, with a particular focus on using Power BI as the main development tool. As a Report Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive and insightful reports and dashboards that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting needs.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing data validation and quality checks.
- Optimize and enhance existing Power BI reports for better performance and usability.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power BI reports.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data extraction and transformation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and Snowflake.
