Job Description Insurance Specialist 2001 Theurer Blvd, Winona, MN 55987 HEADQ Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Insurance Specialist-Worker's Compensation, you will perform all duties related to the investigation and management of work related injuries that occur within the company. Our detailed training process will help provide you the knowledge and experience needed to effectively evaluate and address workers' compensation claims. Successful candidates must have an eagerness to learn and ask questions. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Reporting and processing of work related injuries o Working with injured Fastenal employees to assist them in locating proper medical care and helping minimize their time away from work o Working with insurance companies, doctor's offices, and supporting agencies to ensure claims are being processed timely o Processing of required state reports and generating internal reports o Filing, data entry, and other general administrative duties REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess or working towards a degree in Insurance, Human Resources, or Business OR have relevant work experience o Proficient in a second language ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
