We are currently seeking a Slitting Assistant for our Sugar Land, Texas facility.

The Slitting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Slitting Assistant in the safe, quality, and efficient slitting operation at Accredo Packaging.

Hourly Rate: $14.00 per hour

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
• Complies with established safety policies and procedures and other regulations as applicable.
• Orders film and packaging.
• Assists in job setup/changeover.
• Mounts/dismounts rolls.
• Generates labels to track production output and labels output rolls.
• Generates labels to track production scrap and labels scrap rolls.
• Generates and labels rolls requiring rework.
• Packages and palletizes material utilizing a hoist.
• Transports material utilizing a pallet jack.
• Cleans and ensures the department is maintained in an orderly fashion.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills, required. Experience with web-based software and ERP systems required.
• Basic math skills, required. Must pass the New Hire Base Assessment Test, which measures basic arithmetic and mechanical aptitude.
• Able to operate basic tools and measuring devices (tape measure, scale, etc.).
• Ability to read, write and speak in the English language to the extent necessary to effectively communicate and interpret instructions.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• 12-hour shift work experience preferred.
