Under the Executive Director of Administrative Services, the school social worker enables McKinney-Vento students to achieve to their fullest potential academically by assisting students to develop coping skills, increase self-esteem, improve interactive skills, and facilitate environmental changes that will enable successful functioning with in the learning setting. School social workers also provide crisis intervention as well as individual and group intervention services supporting mental health issues for students, school personnel and community / family.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work required LBSW; Master's Preferred LMSW
Must meet Alvin ISD guidelines to operate a school vehicle

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Highly collaborative, resourceful and able to adapt to given situations
Fluency in Spanish preferred

Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in social work related field preferred

Salary: Admin Professional PG2 / 225 days
Minimum $57,476
