Network Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network design, implementation, and maintenance. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, but we prefer candidates who are local to the Melbourne, Florida area for occasional on-site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct network assessments and recommend improvements to enhance network security and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and applications.
- Perform network configuration and management, including VLANs, VPNs, and QoS.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures and protocols.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices to proactively address emerging challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in network design and implementation, including experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with team members and clients.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
