ResponsibilitiesAs an Operating Room Nurse you will provide directo patient care through assessment, analysis, development and evaluation of effective nursing interventions/actions.
Essential Duties:
- Provides information and instruction to patient, family and/or significant other.
- Performs in-depth patient assessments.
- Provides patient education in coughing and deep breathing. Begins post-op education.
- Demonstrates airway management.
Shift: 6:45am - 5:15pm
Core Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri
This position requires on call with a 30 minute response time.
QualificationsLicense/Certifications:
- State of Oregon RN License
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers within 30 days of hire
- ACLS withing 6 months of hire
- AORN PeriOp 101 within 6 months of hire
- CNOR preferred
Experience:
- 2 years Operating Room experience in an acute care setting
- 1 year of Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery experience and completion of AORN Peri-Op 101 will also be considered
- Scurbbing and Ciculating experience preferred
