Our client, a leading technology company in the electronics industry, is seeking a Contract Hardware Engineer Mid. to join their Physical Design team. As a Physical Design Engineer, you'll play a vital role in creating high-performance integrated circuits (ICs). We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for tackling complex design challenges and a strong track record of success in the field. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Job Title: Contract Hardware Engineer Mid. Location: Plymouth, MI What’s the Job? Execute all aspects of physical design, including floor-planning, power grid design, and timing closure Ensure design meets DFT requirements while maintaining physical design integrity Configure for and pass rigorous physical verification processes Perform design work on-site when required (e.g., classified projects) Participate in project reviews and contribute to clear documentation Mentor junior engineers and share your knowledge What’s Needed? 10-15 years of experience in ASIC Physical Design Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Master's preferred) US Citizenship is mandatory (due to contractual requirements) Proven ability to achieve USG Secret security clearance (or no barriers to obtaining one) In-depth experience with Synopsys EDA tools (Design Compiler, PrimeTime, etc.) Strong scripting language skills (Perl, Shell, TCL, C) What’s in it for me?
