Pediatrics Clinic RN

We are currently seeking a Pediatrics Clinic RN who is bilingual in (insert language(s)). This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement through our Clinical Advancement Program, allowing you to increase your compensation based on nursing education and national certifications. We offer a sign-on bonus and relocation reimbursement for the right candidate. Additionally, we offer weekday and weekend shift differentials to increase your earning potential.
The Pediatrics Clinic RN will work under the general nursing process with independent judgment to assign nurses, technicians, and nursing care to assigned patients in the pediatric clinic. This position will ensure adequate staff to meet patient census by assigning shift and schedule assignments, calling in staff, and monitoring attendance. As a clinical leader, this position will supervise staff and patient care delivery on the designated shift while serving as a clinical resource.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in nursing strategic initiatives
- Assign nursing personnel and staff to specific patients using independent judgment
- Support and implement the UNMH shared governance model
- Designate shift and schedule assignments
- Assign duties in accordance with the plan of care, patient needs, and within the scope of staff qualifications and licensure/certification/registry
- Supervise and direct staff providing patient care
- Monitor compliance with specific objectives
- Act as liaison as necessary between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments
- Develop an efficient organizational structure
- Act as a clinical resource and role model for department personnel
- Delegate and monitor completion of duties according to departmental and Hospitals policies
- Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops
Qualifications:
- Program graduate
- Nationally accredited nursing graduate
- 2+ years directly related experience
- Bilingual in (insert language(s))
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days
- Registered Nurse in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. This position is subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal.
