Responsibilities- Schedule and confirm patient appointments in a timely manner, balancing provider schedules efficiently.
- Gather relevant patient information and ensure completeness of medical records prior to appointments.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, confirmations, and any changes.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and scheduling changes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Address patient inquiries and resolve scheduling issues promptly and professionally.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to improve office operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or a healthcare administrative role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes.
- Proficient in using computer systems and scheduling software; experience with EMR systems is an advantage.
