Business Analyst (HYBRID) (2 DAYS/WEEK ON SITE)
Job Description:
- The Data Exchange Program will fulfill one of the top priorities of the Commonwealth's behavioral health strategic plan, which is to deliver transactional and secure statewide data exchange for behavioral health data. This position will be the business analyst for multiple component projects of the program. This position will coordinate extensively with the client and partner stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and collect and analyze data to be exchanged between the client and partners.
- Experience with healthcare data management, Electronic Health Record systems, and data integration projects is highly desirable. Position will be hybrid remote with 2 days minimum required on-site at the client’s office in Richmond. Parking will be in public lots with a daily rate. Some travel within VA may be required, most of which will be a single day (not overnight).
Required Skills/Experience:
- Gathering business requirements from stakeholders Required 8 Years
- Gathering, compiling, evaluating, and interpreting complex information Required 8 Years
- Capturing key elements during meetings and brainstorming sessions, generate group member direction, and lead group to define and achieve goals Required 8 Years
- Presenting work results and recommendations in a written report or a verbal presentation Required 8 Years
- Expert level skill in MS Excel, Vision, and PowerPoint Required 8 Years
- Excellent verbal and written communications Required 8 Years
- Gathering and analyzing requirements related to data management, reports, and analytics Required 4 Years
- Some experience with writing SQL queries Required 2 Years
- Experience creating PowerBI reports and dashboards Required 2 Years
- Experience with health information systems, such as Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Highly desired 2 Years
- Experience with HL7 message standards Highly desired 1 Years
