Job Title: Phlebotomist III- Floater

Job Summary: The Phlebotomist III- Float serves as a pivotal member of our healthcare team, embodying the company's commitment to patient care and quality service. This role involves drawing blood samples from patients across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. The Phlebotomist III- Float interacts directly with patients, fostering trust and confidence while explaining procedures and maintaining a safe and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures, ensuring quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Provide coverage across multiple locations as needed, adapting to various roles and environments (e.g., patient service centers, doctor's offices, long-term care facilities).
  • Act as a leader onsite, potentially directing daily activities and mentoring other staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing) to meet complex customer needs and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to patient confidentiality.
  • Provide effective onboarding and training for new employees and clients.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington; preferred elsewhere.
  • Minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • At least three years of experience in a patient service center or in-office phlebotomy environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with experience in a retail or service-oriented setting.
  • Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
  • Flexibility to work across various locations and adapt to changing business needs.
