Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver accurate diagnoses of specimens, from both glass slide and digital formats.
  • Provide microscopic dictations, and, at times, gross evaluations when appropriate.
  • Be available for physicians and staff to discuss specimen handling, diagnosis, and management, as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, co-workers, and clients to provide quality medical care and customer service.
  • Participate as faculty in our educational programs with residents and fellows.
  • Participate in Tumor Board, Grand Rounds, and professional society meetings when called upon.
  • Help with research projects.
  • Participate in other division or company-wide activities (sales/service calls, trade shows, and social media) to promote our services, as needed.
Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D./D.O.) with completion of residency training (either dermatology or pathology)
  • Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology and/or Dermatology.
  • A minimum of 1-4 years' experience including fellowship training.
  • Dermatopathology fellowship training required with Board Certification/Eligibility
  • Excellent communication skills are a priority.
