The mission of the Enterprise Technologies organization at SAS is to deliver innovative software and data solutions through strong collaboration with our internal business stakeholders. We aim to maximize value from strategic platforms and enable data-driven decisions, ensuring that our technology initiatives drive business success and growth. We are seeking a detailed-oriented, results driven Senior IT Project Manager to lead strategic projects that will enhance the customer experience and drive growth for SAS Cloud Managed Services. These projects will include both full-stack application development and third-party SaaS implementations involving an implementation partner.

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will:

  • Manages deadline-driven, team-oriented projects.  Responsible for attainment of overall project objectives and goals.
  •      Establishes budget and delivery schedule, based on project requirements and in consultation with stakeholders and internal and external project team members.
  •      Determines resource needs and coordinates requests for personnel, equipment and other resources.
  •      Directs activities of project staff.
  •      Initiates and tracks projects.  Maintains project documentation including updates to Project/Portfolio Management systems, plans, schedules and status reports.
  •      Manages project scope and customer expectations.
  •      Works with team to define project goals and implementation strategies.
  •      Negotiates with customer about project issues related to risks, cost, time, and deliverables.
  •      Communicates project status to stakeholders and management.  Provides presentations on projects (e.g. kick-off, scope, deliverables and schedule) as requested.
  •      Uses appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners (e.g. peers, functional partners, cross-sector partners, matrixed partners, external vendors, etc.) to meet mutual goals and objectives.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or Technology related field
  • At least 8+ years of project management experience
  • At least 5 years of service in implementing technology solutions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Aptitude to learn and understand technical concepts, structures, requirements, environments, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and direct the work of other functional teams across organizational boundaries
  • Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred qualifications

  • United States Citizen
  • Previous project management, team lead and/or management experience
  • PMP Certification, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or another equivalent Scrum or Agile certification
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or equivalent workflow automation tool
  • Proven ability to communicate with all levels of external stakeholders up to and including C-Suite
  • Experience working with an implementation partner for large-scale SaaS implementations.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work successfully within a rapidly changing environment
