The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are the oldest franchise in the NAHL East, playing home games at the historic Cambria County 1ST SUMMIT Arena, famously featured in the hockey movie "Slap Shot" located in Johnstown, PA. The NAHL is the oldest and largest junior hockey league in the United States and is renowned for advancing players to the NCAA and professional hockey. The Tomahawks have a large amount of community support, averaging over 52,000 fans each season, the highest in the NAHL East and one of the highest in the North American Hockey League.

Internship Overview:

We are seeking passionate college juniors and seniors who are enthusiastic about sports and eager to gain hands-on experience in the sports industry. The internship can be tailored to fall, spring, or a full-season duration, providing flexibility to suit your academic schedule. Our internship program aims to help you utilize the knowledge and skills from your college courses while boosting your career prospects in the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Johnstown Tomahawks home games, typically on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Assist in game day operations.
  • Support the marketing and promotions team with game day activities.
  • Engage with fans and provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform various office tasks during weekly office hours.
  • Contribute to social media and digital content creation.
  • Assist in community outreach programs and events.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth game day operations.

Qualifications:
