Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Therapy from a nationally recognized program.
  • Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nebraska.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment

Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides screening, evaluation, and therapeutic intervention for patients referred by physicians or appropriate sources.
  • Administer and score standardized test procedures to assist in evaluation of patient communicative skills.
  • Interpretation and written reports are required following assessment including patient education and input related to test results and recommendations.
  • Develop a treatment plan and implementation per doctor is documented and progress notes after each patient contact is required.
  • Contact with a physician is necessary to provide information on patient status.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all ages and socio-economic status.
  • Job knowledge of the medical implications of various disorders of stroke, traumatic brain injury, tracheostomy/vent patients, language delay, articulation/motor disorders, and swallowing disorders
