Scholar Coach

As a Scholar Coach, you'll serve at a local school and be embedded in a K-3 classroom. You'll partner with the classroom teacher to promote scholastic engagement and help students become better readers. Every day, you'll also meet with students one-on-one or in pairs to provide extra practice and build skills. With training and on-site coaching, you'll be prepared to help kids succeed. Your commitment during school hours throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact.

Member Duties : How You'll Take Action Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students build their skills and confidence. Track student progress and regularly meet with the school's on-site coach. Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software. Commit to your own growth as a tutor through coaching, training, and professional development. Represent Reading Corps at school events and share your experience with the community to raise awareness.
