Your Role in Infection Control
As our Infection Control Nurse and Employee Health Coordinator, you will:
- Direct the Infection Control Program and ensure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA, and other federal and state standards.
- Analyze infection data, identifying trends, clusters, and risk factors.
- Manage hospital policies in alignment with infection control guidelines.
- Conduct surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections.
- Maintain employee health records and develop relevant policies.
- Lead in-service programs related to employee wellness.
- Oversee the new hire employee health process.
Qualifications
- Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred); Basic Life Support (CPR) instructor certification preferred.
- Valid license or certification in a health-related field.
- Completed post-secondary education in a health-related field (nursing, biology, public health, etc.).
- Knowledge or experience in Workers' Compensation law and OSHA regulations.
- Training in infection control and/or epidemiology.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in the field.
- If you are a Registered Nurse, CRRN certification is preferred.
- Experience in hospital infection control practices is preferred.
