Surgical Coordinator duties:

• Schedule inpatient and outpatient surgeries for multi-physician practice

• Coordinate pre-testing and medical clearance appointments.

• Obtains prior authorization for surgeries.

• Responsible for surgical reporting to ensure proper billing.

Authorization Duties:

• Verify benefits and eligibly via Phreesia, insurance websites and phones.

• Contact patients for corrected information and updated information

• Obtain Surgical authorizations.

• Acquire office administered medication authorizations.

• Obtain Radiological authorizations.

Billing Duties:

• Review daily billing reconciliation for any and correct.

• Send an email to Corporate Billing office when billing reconciliation is complete.

Requirements

• High School Diploma

• 1 year similar experience preferred

• Medical Terminology

• Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Preferred)
