This role is a full-time position responsible for oversight and administration of Biologics to EPGI patients in the office setting.
- Performs patient assessments and evaluations prior to administration of IV Infusion.
- Reviews and implements plan of care, per doctor's orders.
- Performs medication checks for updates, physical checks of patient
- Administers IV Infusion according to protocol. This includes mixing medications and inserting IVs while maintaining a safe environment.
- Monitors patient status during infusion and manage emergency reactions.
- Maintains accurate detailed reports and records.
- Procures and organizes all drugs and infusion supplies as necessary.
- Documents data related to the patient's care including assessment results, interventions, medications, patient's responses, or treatment changes using electronic documentation systems.
- Educates patients regarding treatment plans and follow up care.
- Works closely with Physicians, staff and patients to manage plan of care
Qualifications:
- RN with current Pennsylvania License
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a clinical setting. Must be proficient in starting IV's.
Physical Demands:
Medium duty. 50 pounds, maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 pounds. Requires standing for long periods while sitting for others. Repetitive hand/arm movements. Required to wear appropriate PPE. Assisting patients on and off infusion chair.
