SANITATION TECHNICIAN

Our Production team is looking for a Sanitation Technician We are particularly interested in candidates with basic mechanical troubleshooting skills, and knowledge or experience in beer/beverage manufacturing.

The Sanitation Technician position is an hourly, full-time position, and will work second shift.

Job summary

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning the packaging equipment, sanitizing the equipment and preparing packaging goods for the next packaging run.

What you would do
  • Lead & act in a manner that is consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values.
  • Disassemble, clean, reassemble and sanitize bottle filler and can filler.
  • Disassemble, clean, reassemble bottle labeler.
  • Clean and break down product tanks.
  • Ensure packaging equipment is gluten free, when applicable.
  • Clean conveyors, machines and surrounding areas to prevent mold growth.
  • Ensure packaging equipment is free of any broken glass/potential contaminants.
  • Prepare and stage packaging materials and equipment for the following runs.
  • Abide by all food safety and GMP rules and regulations.
  • Follow production processes relating to this position and offer solutions to make processes more efficient and effective.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical requirements
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds from floor to overhead repeatedly.
  • Able to work in environments of heat, cold, & humidity.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to go up & down stairs repeatedly throughout an entire shift.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Able to bend, squat, reach & manually scrub.
  • Must be able to work evenings/nights.
Desired qualifications
  • Forklift experience.
  • Chemical handling experience.
  • Knowledge or experience in beer/beverage manufacturing.

* Ensure machines are clean and sanitized & ready to start up when the packaging team arrives.

* Keep food safety at top of mind to ensure the product meets the consumer’s expectations.

* Maintain a clean & sanitary food-safe packaging environment.

Summary of a typical day

* Clean & sanitize machines, workstations, and tanks.

* Ensure packaging area adheres to FDA requirements.

* Prepare packaging goods for the next packaging run.
