We are hiring a full time Associate Engineer. This job is located in Chatsworth, CA. We have a day shift available.

Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour (Wage to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)

Summary:

Perform implementation duties relating to product and process support. Can be part of multidisciplinary engineering staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management/FMEA Process validation.
  • Communication, both written and verbal, with customers and associates.
  • Interpret specifications, drawings and engineering instructions.
  • Develop test and manufacturing work instructions.
  • Support production line layouts in the assembly and test areas.
  • Draft product manufacturing work instructions.
  • Must be able to be trained for the implementation of Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), Performance Qualification (PQ).
  • Exposure to Design for Manufacturability (DFM) or Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Train and perform Quality Management Systems cross functional internal audits.
  • Comply with all in-house training as identified in job specific family and or specific training plan.
  • Support all corporate and site 6S objectives.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Knowledge of IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification.
  • Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1 & 2 and 3-8.
  • Must be a team player and highly motivated.
  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
  • Familiar with ANSI and ISO standards.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong sense of urgency; ability to meeting deadlines.
  • Effective communications skills.
Experience/Education:
  • Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical drawing skills.
  • Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot.
  • Ability to interpret specifications and schematics.
  • 0-1 years in manufacturing engineering.
