A Quality Control (QC) Inspector responsible for First Article Inspection (FAI) plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and compliance with specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform first article inspections on new components and products
  • Complete all associated documentation for FAI processes
  • Verify the presence of FAI reports and Certificates of Conformance (CoC) with shipments
  • Measure and inspect critical dimensions and features of parts
  • Document inspection results in MRP systems and inspection check sheets
  • Support material handling and physical inventory processes
  • Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures
  • Communicate with co-workers and engineers to optimize inspection methods
  • Ensure test hardware is maintained and calibrated

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Strong understanding of technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Proficiency in using various inspection tools and metrology equipment

Experience with quality assurance in manufacturing environments

Familiarity with ISO 9001 procedures and quality management systems

Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and standards

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent documentation and reporting abilities

Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems
