Description

BrightView Health is hiring a Patient Access Specialist I as a Full-Time job in Cincinnati, OH.

As a Patient Access Specialist I, you will complete the day-to-day duties surrounding new patient intake, insurance verification and initial appointment scheduling. You will be responsible for assisting in the contact center, scheduling staff appointments, activities and meeting utilization goals. The Patient Access Specialist I should have at least a basic understanding of a variety of the medical field's concepts, practices and procedures.

BrightView is an outpatient addiction treatment program with locations in Arizona, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia. Our mission is to deliver life-changing addiction care to the communities we serve. We treat our patients like people and addiction like a disease using a comprehensive treatment program that addressses a patient's physical, mental, and social health.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Initiates new and existing patient scheduling requests.
  • Conducts new patient intake and scheduling procedures.
  • Conducts daily review of all scheduling.
  • Communicates with office managers and providers regarding scheduling issues.
  • Manages the provider calendars for all offices.
  • Understands the patient scheduling guidelines and process in the EMR.
  • Provides excellent customer service quality in scheduling.
  • Implements directives from the Lead Patient Access Specialist or Director.
  • Participates in special projects and/or assignments as requested.
Job Requirements:
  • 1-3 Years of experience required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • EMR experience.
