Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development & Code Implementation: Take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from design to implementation, for enterprise applications. Contribute to all parts of the codebase.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Interface with business lines, IT teams, and support teams to understand requirements, provide input for effort estimation, and communicate effectively across stakeholders.
  • Agile Practices: Lead and drive full adoption of modern software engineering practices such as Real Agile, TDD (Test-Driven Development), ATDD (Acceptance Test-Driven Development), Stateless Design, Microservices, and Containerization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Mentor and guide the development team to ensure best practices are followed in software delivery, and contribute to process improvement.
  • Solution Design: Work independently to design and implement solutions for complex business needs, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in an SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) environment.
  • 3+ years of solid working experience with Java 12+.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Unix, Angular, Jenkins, and the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket).
  • Strong knowledge of Git, Maven, or Gradle for version control and build management.
Skills:
  • Expertise in modern software engineering principles and practices (Agile, TDD, ATDD, Microservices).
  • Solid understanding of enterprise-level application design, development, and deployment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers and lead by example in adopting best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Containerization: Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization tools.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
  • Software Engineering Certifications: Any relevant certifications in software engineering or cloud technologies (preferred but not required).


Certifications (if any):

Java Certification (preferred but not required).

Agile/Scrum Certification (preferred).

Cloud Platform Certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

Education: Bachelors Degree
