The Assembly Tech II is responsible for adding value to our industrial and petroleum engine sales by adding customer specific enhancements to the engines' mechanical systems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Work the assembly process under moderate supervision. Assembly tasks include but are not limited to; attaching equipment, aligning components such as engine generators and radiators, testing assembled components, and wiring/ cabling / sealing as needed.
  • Our Assembly Techs work on a variety of assemblies including but not limited to; basic hydraulic, pneumatic pipes (both screw pipe and weldments), water pipes (both screw pipe and weldments), stainless-steel tubing, and conduits assembly.
  • Document all repairs, testing and assembly upon completion.
  • Assist other Technicians with welding fit up, electrical work, painting, and other tasks as needed.
  • Using basic industrial engine wiring knowledge, install wiring and electrical components, as needed.
  • Independently operate all assembly tools.
  • Operate forklifts as required.
  • Strive to find methods to improve shop efficiency and productivity.
  • Demonstrate the Warren CAT mission statement in daily activities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two to four years' industrial engine/oilfield assembly experience.
  • Our Assembly Tech II's must possess mechanical and electrical tools.
  • Must be able to operate a computer/ software with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Attention to detail and ability to execute tasks in various forms of instruction (written, verbal, diagram).
  • Ability to learn and read project drawings.
  • Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills for task completion.
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.

Required travel up to 5%.
