Job Summary

We are seeking an Operating Room Nurse to provide independent nursing care to patients. The ideal candidate has recent experience in the OR, uses critical thinking to make sound judgments, and assumes leadership responsibilities. This full-time position requires participation in unit committees, quality improvement activities, on-call coverage, and on-going education and clinical skill development.

  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer nursing care and medication safely and accurately
  • Evaluate care outcomes to ensure patient needs are met
  • Communicate with family and significant others regarding patient care
  • Serve as preceptor and evaluate technical and interpersonal skills of new employees, coworkers and students
  • Accept responsibility for learning needs and attend courses and in-services offered

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
  • 1 year of recent OR experience required
  • Basic and Advanced Life Support certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Intermediate computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
