Job Title: Cloud Security Architect

Location(s): Gaithersburg, MD

Job Description:

Looking for a cloud Security architect - deep technical/hands-on in cloud (primarily AWS). Can setup and run POCs, build architecture documents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and AWS KMS.
  • Strong experience with AWS security services, such as AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, WAF, and Shield.
  • Proficient in designing secure IAM policies, VPC configurations, and security groups.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, and security automation tools.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Knowledge of encryption standards, data protection, and secure access controls for cloud environments.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation of security tasks and infrastructure management.
  • Strong understanding of network security, firewall management, and secure cloud networking.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
