Job Title: School Nurse (RN) Location: Apex, NC Position Type: Full-Time, 36-week contract (school year) Hours: Normal school hours, 35 hours per week Pay Range: $33-$35 per hour, W2, full benefits Job Summary: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with required experience in diabetic care. The School Nurse will provide healthcare services, promote health education, and ensure a safe school environment. Key Responsibilities: Diabetic Care: Monitor blood glucose levels, administer insulin, and manage diabetic emergencies. Health Assessments: Conduct health screenings and assessments. First Aid and Emergency Care: Provide first aid and emergency care. Health Education: Educate on health topics like nutrition and hygiene. Medication Administration: Administer medications and maintain records. Health Records: Maintain confidential health records. Collaboration: Work with teachers, administrators, and parents. Compliance: Ensure compliance with health regulations and school policies. Qualifications: RN License: Current RN license in North Carolina. Diabetic Care Experience: Proven experience in diabetic care. Pediatric Experience: Experience with children and adolescents. CPR and First Aid Certification: Current certification. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills. Organizational Skills: Strong record-keeping skills. Compassionate and Patient: Ability to work with children.
