SummaryOur client is is a leading application Engineering Consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metro region specializing in Management Services, Technology Solutions and Facilities Services. They partner with and assist Federal, State and local government agencies; private sector Energy Services Companies (ESCOs); and Commercial entities in the design and implementation of their various Engineering and Technology related projects. Additionally, they are able to leverage an engineering team with proven technology industry experience that resulted in multi-million-dollar contracts within federal government, state & local government clients

Responsibilities

Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Program Analyst IV to assist with the design, development, and support of complex Java/JEE programs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop complex, large-scale Java/JEE applications
  • Model relational and object-oriented systems to support application development
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for complex multitiered applications, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both orally and in writing
  • Utilize IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM WebSphere Liberty, and Oracle RDBMS to support application development and deployment
  • Participate in large-scale data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Work within agile methodologies (scrum, kanban, or scrumban) to manage project tasks and deliverables
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite products to create documentation and manage project workflows
  • Implement SpringBatch and Spring Boot frameworks to enhance application functionality and performance
  • Develop and maintain UNIX OS, UNIX Shell Scripts, PL/SQL, and UML diagrams to support system operations and development
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, providing technical support and guidance to junior developers
  • Create technical requirements specifications and design documentation to ensure clear communication of project needs and deliverables

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of Java development experience with complex, large-scale applications using the following technologies: Java/J2EE, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with the following technologies:
    • SOAP & REST Web Services, JSPs, Struts, Spring, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and JMS
  • Experience with relational and object-oriented modeling
  • Experience with problem troubleshooting and providing support for complex multitiered applications
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully interact in a team environment
  • Experience with technical requirements specification and design documentation

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in an agile environment (scrum, kanban, or scrumban)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Experience with SpringBatch and Spring Boot
  • Experience with UNIX OS, UNIX Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and UML
  • Experience with large-scale data migration
