What You Will Do:
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all safety standards and ensuring team follows all safety standards and procedures.
- Lead team with day-to-day operations of the maintenance department in PMs, repairs, and improvement projects.
- Conduct routine inspections of the maintenance area to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and 5S opportunities.
- Collaborate with team ensuring maintenance tasks, PMs, repairs, and projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Review and maintain PM data for accuracy, required materials and PPE required.
- Assist with identifying and updating PM's needing improvement to prevent downtime.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, including obtaining quotes, evaluating service levels, and ensuring compliance with contracts.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts; recommending for purchase if needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment; recommending for purchase if needed.
- Track history of downtime, spare parts, team performance utilizing the CMMS.
- Create a high-performance worksite based on the principles of trust and respect.
- Lead (day-to-day activities of team) by example; building each team member's skill sets.
- Provide daily coaching to team members.
- Ensure team understands and adheres to all company policies.
- Work with team improving the safety culture and continuous improvement culture.
- Participate in continuous training in Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, and other principles of Operational Excellence
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 or more years of relevant experience in manufacturing/facility maintenance performing troubleshooting, diagnosing and repair in areas of electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Ability to motivate employees, drive change, and sustain results
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness achieve shared goals

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day is a requirement of the job.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material. The employee will also reach with arms and hands as needed.
