Hazen Law Group LLC, a firm dedicated to the practice of elder and estate planning, special needs planning law, agricultural law, and estate administration, is adding a Legal Secretary position to the firm.  The Legal Secretary will provide administrative support to the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, copying, scanning, mailing and drafting correspondence.
  • Serve as back-up for answering phones, directing calls to appropriate staff, and scheduling appointments with attorneys.
  • Outreach to external parties to gather information in a timely manner as needed for files.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by attorneys, office manager or paralegals.
  • You must be organized, accurate, and efficient in using the technological resources needed to complete assigned work.
  • This position requires dealing with sensitive, confidential information as well as administrative duties related to file preparation, organization, and maintenance. You will interact with clients and other professionals, in person, via email, and over the telephone.
  • Often we are dealing with clients in some of the most difficult times of their lives, which means often you will be expected to handle them with empathy, tact, and understanding.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or at least 1 year of experience in a law firm, or related field preferred
  • Proven aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Clio a plus
  • Excellent communication and grammar skills
Requirements:
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.
