AmesburyTruth is looking for an EHS Coordinator to join our team in Owatonna In this role you will complete health and safety inspections of facility, interact with the workforce and assist with Health, Safety and Sustainability work and projects at the facility.
This position supports both shifts so the hours for this role will be 1pm - 9:30pm Monday - Friday
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in site planning, developing, and organizing strategic safety plans support and partner with local management on safety and health efforts and program management.
- Shares responsibility for tracking and communication of site leading and lagging safety indicators,
- Assist with coordinating local safety activities, such as safety champion training, program management, LOTO and machine guarding.
- Assist with monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation.
- Coordinates annual Emergency Response Team and employee evacuation drills including maintenance of evacuation maps.
- Participates in safety investigations, documents root cause and recommends corrective action where occupational hazards exist.
- Distributes safety messaging.
- Conducts health and safety training as assigned (both onboarding and task specific).
- Identifies hazardous behaviors / conditions and drives preventative and corrective actions.
- Participates in and/or leads monthly safety committee meetings and maintains minutes for each meeting.
- Assist with reviewing metrics for actions and activities to reduce workplace hazards.
- Assist with the organization and assignments of the safety related program, such as Safety Leadership tours.
- Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining standardized work instructions related to safety programs.
- Manage safety related PPE programs.
- Coordinates the hearing conservation program including scheduling of audiograms, maintaining of paperwork/records and other duties as assigned.
- Conduct job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing equipment.
- Support safety programs through time spent on the production floor at assigned locations.
- Assist with Identifying hazards, recommending preventative measures and corrective actions.
- Participates in continuous improvement events (KAIZEN) as assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Certified in the OSHA 10 HR and/or 30 HR training course is preferred.
