Description:
Cybersecurity Business Architects provide consultation to business area clients regarding the planning, execution and benefit realization of Cybersecurity solutions. Works closely with assigned business area executives and key stakeholders to understand the strategic goals and business objectives. They analyze and understand the business direction and impacting programs and ensure alignment between Cybersecurity initiatives and the business mission and objectives. They are accountable for leading the successful transition of the client's business from the current through the future state through effective planning and are accountable for the realization of expected benefits. Cybersecurity Business Architects develop presentations detailing strategies, roadmaps, initiatives, and other forms of information describing plans and statuses of the Cybersecurity program.

Essential functions:
  • Facilitates the development of Cybersecurity strategies and capability planning activities, focusing on the initiative level
  • Develops and maintains strategies, capability plans and roadmaps
  • Influences and assesses current state/desired future state and ensure initiative execution is strategically aligned to a three year enterprise strategy and capability roadmap
  • Influences and negotiates with domain and functional business leads and problem solves with vendors and multiple business area/entities regarding business and technology solutions required
  • Develops presentations, project updates, executive summaries, and other documentation to communicate Cybersecurity strategies, plans, initiatives, and various other program level updates to the Board of Directors and executive/senior leaders
  • Collaborates with other Cybersecurity Architects in selection and implementation of technology solutions including detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs buy options in a way aligned to strategy
  • Contributes in development of architecture blueprints. Conducts research for future/desired functionality discovery and scoping meetings with business partners and vendors
  • Develops strategic capability plan that includes components of risk and complexity, cost, effort, degree of change and delivery schedule
  • Promotes implementation of new technology, solutions and methods to improve business processes, efficiency, effectiveness and value delivered to customers.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience as a Business Architect developing Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology strategies and roadmaps
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with business area and IT partners
  • Experience in applying research methodology to business solutions.
  • Knowledge of systems development concepts and life cycle
  • Strong concept visualization, presentation communication skills while interacting with a broad spectrum of internal and external individuals and departments
  • Ability to challenge status quo and engage in conversations leading to innovation
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to build trust and relationships.
  • Exceptional leadership skills demonstrated through project or technical leadership experience including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Ability to understand overall IT strategy and apply/implement IT strategy in assigned projects/initiatives
  • Ability to apply current and emerging technology solutions and trends
  • Experience in consulting, negotiating, communicating, consensus building, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with MS Suite products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience:
  • 3-5 years related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
  • Cybersecurity / Information Security Business Analyst, IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Cybersecurity Architect and/or Systems Analyst experience including working on multi-year, large scale projects or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education
Education:
IT related field - Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
