Job Summary:
As a Licensed Optometrist, you will be responsible for examining patients with various visual problems, diagnosing visual diseases and disorders, prescribing treatment, and referring patients to other providers as needed. Additionally, you will be fitting contact lenses, prescribing low-vision aids, and using diagnostic pharmaceutical agents to detect ocular pathology. This role will require travel to various optometry centers based on business needs.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Optometry
  • Optometrist License (Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia)
  • Enrollment in PECOS within 90 days of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • National Provider Identifier

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an interdisciplinary health care environment or successful completion of accredited residency program
  • Accredited residency in Optometry preferred

Location: Caton Hill Medical Center, Virginia

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Saturday with rotating Saturdays
