Operator - Coating Apply now » Date: Sep 1, 2024 Location: Muscle Shoals, AL, US, 35661 Company: North American Lighting Job Summary Loads and unloads parts from carriers, and performs quality review while handling parts (both prior to and after parts are processed). Essential Duties & Responsibilities Loads parts onto machine fixtures to go through coating process 2. Unloads parts from machine and places coated parts on racks or in packaging 3. Performs quality review of parts while loading and uploading machine, separating out bad parts 4. Keeps work area clean, swept and free of dust, and maintains good 6S' within the department 5. Ensures that the scrap basket is emptied in regular intervals 6. Assists department personnel in clean-up operations and machine changes 7. Locates and brings processed parts to work station for loading when the material handler or technician is unavailable to do so 8. Ensures that all policies, practices, procedures, and safety rules are adhered to in the department 9. Works on sub-assembly and rebuilds, as needed 10. Performs other duties as assigned Responsibilites Requirements High School Diploma or GED 12. 0 to 2 years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment 13. Color and normal or corrected vision 14. Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: a. Organizational and planning skills b. Communications skills a. Interpersonal skills ― ability to work and function in a team environment
