Job Description Job Summary Our client is looking to hire a suitable candidate to fill this position. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Job Responsibilities Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Project Coordination: Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. Risk Management: Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements Quality Control: Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions to ensure the project quality Budgeting: Analyze the profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects. Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients and other project stakeholders. Provide progress reports and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports. Generate regular progress reports for management and clients. General Duties: Ensure operations are carried out as per laydown procedures and standard safety methods are observed. Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business operations to ensure smooth progress and profitability Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives regularly and apply improvements. Making sure safety regulations are followed. Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training Ensure operating objectives and standards of performance are owned by management as well as employees Requirements Core Requirements Shall possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical). Should possess 3 - 5 years of experience in Project Engineering in the Oil and Gas/Power Sector. Project Management Certified is compulsory. Certification in COREN is an added advantage. Certification HSE is an added advantage. Skills Excellent use of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking. Ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent organizational skills. Technical Skills: Proficient in either Microsoft Project, Primavera, or AutoCAD Project management. Technical understanding of engineering principles, design techniques Quality control processes. Problem-solving skills. Budgeting and cost control. Gender- Preferably Male Candidate. Age Preference- Late 20s to Late 30s Location- Lekki Phase 1, Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria. Work Mode- Onsite (Mon-Fri) Benefits Remuneration- NGN 400,000 - NGN 700,000 Monthly Net Benefits- Pension, HMO, Paid Leave Days Allowance upon confirmation 13th Month, (after successful 6 months probation), Group Life Insurance.
