Responsibilities:

  • Image Mastery: You'll be the maestro of medical images, operating X-ray machines, CT scanners, and other advanced imaging equipment. With precision and attention to detail, you'll capture clear and accurate images, ensuring a solid foundation for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Patient Care: As an IR Tech, you'll work directly with patients, guiding them through imaging procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety. Your friendly and reassuring demeanor will help alleviate anxiety, making the experience as stress-free as possible.
  • Procedure Assistance: You'll be the right hand of radiologists and physicians during interventional procedures. Your ability to assist with equipment setup, patient positioning, and sterile techniques will ensure seamless procedures and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Like any tech wizard, you'll keep a watchful eye on the machinery. Regular maintenance checks and troubleshooting will be part of your routine, ensuring that equipment is in top-notch condition and ready to produce high-quality images.
  • Documentation and Organization: Accurate record-keeping is vital in healthcare. You'll be responsible for documenting procedures, maintaining patient files, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete. Your organized approach will help keep things running smoothly.

Qualifications:

  • Radiologic Expertise: You should have a solid understanding of radiologic technology principles and equipment operation. Experience with X-rays, fluoroscopy, and CT scans is preferred. However, if you're a motivated recent graduate or have a related background, we're willing to provide training
  • Problem-Solving Skills: In the world of IR, things can sometimes go off-script. Your ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot technical issues, and adapt to unexpected situations will be essential in providing efficient and effective care.

Minimum Qualifications Requirements

Education: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or RCIS, or completion of AMA approved hospital-based program.

Experience: No experience required. Preference will be given to applicants with Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). Applicants with experience in hospitals with computer system operations will be given preference.

License(s): Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS). State of Nevada Radiation Control Program License.

Certification(s): 200266 (Cath Lab): BLS upon hire required. ACLS within six months of hire required. Renown: Intro to ECG Interpretation class required within 6 months of hire.

200255 (IR): BLS upon hire required. ACLS within six months of hire required. Renown: Intro to ECG Interpretation class required within 6 months of hire. Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) required within 18 months of hire.
