LINK Staffing has partnered with a local construction company to find an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator. This position is vital to our team, ensuring accurate cost calculations and maintaining project timelines within budget. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction or demolition estimation, expertise in analyzing specifications, and skill in developing precise cost estimates. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to manage contracts, negotiate terms, and oversee budgets effectively.

Salary: DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare time, material, and labor estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers to assess requirements and develop cost control strategies.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions impacting project costs.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive proposals and bids, ensuring transparency.
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to maintain budget adherence and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Maintain records of estimates, contracts, and project-related correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and math skills, including algebra and geometry.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Autodesk DWG TrueView.
  • Experience reading blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with adherence to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with cost control and project management practices.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of construction technology, inflation, and exchange rates.
  • Sitework/Land Development experience is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong negotiation abilities.
