Certified Welding Inspector

What to expect:

    • You will be working on-site at supplier locations, ensuring that products meet high standards of quality. Your inspections will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of critical infrastructure components.
What you will do:
    • Conduct welding observations and visual inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Witness various tests and perform general dimensional and physical inspections of machined, electro-mechanical, and other parts.
    • Inspect wiring and connectors for adherence to specifications.
    • Perform incoming inspections of products and services from external providers (e.g., nickel plating).
    • Carry out in-process and final inspections of critical features and compile final inspection sign-off sheets and report packages.
    • Verify that inspection equipment and methodologies are adequate and effective.
    • Audit and validate execution against inspection plans and quality control systems.
    • Provide weekly reports on manufacturing site progress, equipment quality performance, and delivery details.
    • Conduct periodic quality audits of supplier factories and drive closure of non-conformance findings.
    • Act as the on-site representative during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and ensure compliance with commissioning processes.
Preferred experience
    • Strong experience in visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of various parts.
    • Ability to compile detailed inspection reports and manage quality audits.
    • Technical knowledge of inspection equipment and methodologies.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
Requirements
    • Certification as a Welding Inspector.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
    • Must be willing to undergo background check


$28 - $32 an hour
