Painter - Engineer Tech Our hotel is hiring a Painting-Engineer Tech. In this role, you will handle various painting assignments throughout the hotel. Our painter will perform a variety of duties including scaffold assembly, sanding down old paint, filling in drywall holes, mixing paint, and painting interior or exterior walls. Our ideal candidate has previous work experience as a painter and is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools to get the job done. Job seekers should be personable, organized, and clean. If this sounds like you, apply today Responsibilities: • Protect trim, floors, fixtures, and furniture from paint using drop cloths and covers • Mix paint or stains to customer’s specification • Prepare surfaces for painting by filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding • Leave the work area clean once the project has been completed • Apply primer or sealers to paint surfaces Qualifications: • Experience with painting tools and techniques is a big plus, but we are willing to train on the job for motivated candidates • Preference for candidates with 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship, but not required • Candidates must be comfortable standing for long periods of time, and have physical strength and dexterity • High school diploma or GED preferred • Sheetrock and Stucco repair Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
