Position Summary: The FP&A Analyst will support the Associate Finance Manager and FP&A Manager with financial analysis and planning, including revenue forecasting, all P&L non-manufacturing costs and analytic work related to the business.

The role will also support the Senior Director of Global FP&A with selected analytic and forecasting activities as well as producing presentations to executive leadership. The role will require a good foundation in accounting and financial analysis but will build on this skillset through gradually increasing knowledge of the Arcadium business, operations, accounting and financial analytics.

The position requires a strong analytic ability, the desire to learn and a commitment to teamwork within a dynamic, fast-paced business in an exciting sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of core FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting and management reporting of revenue, operating costs, cash and balance sheet items.
  • Analyse and communicate changes in actual results and forecasts in both external and management reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support analysis of actual results as well as forecasting and budgeting.
  • Consolidating data from various departments and regional finance teams. Monitor and analyse budget/forecast variances, providing explanations of variances as well as actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Support with preparation of review decks for Arcadium board management and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes.
  • Partner with the Commercial and Supply Chain organization to improve revenue projections, analysis processes, ensuring alignment across functions.
  • Execute management reporting cadence and provide accurate reporting and analytics to Arcadium leadership within strict deadlines.
  • Provide inputs to accounting for the preparation of month, quarter-end and year-end schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external audits from a business perspective as needed.
  • Assist special projects with an emphasis on supporting data gathering and financial cost analysis for project proposals and scenario planning.
  • Highlight opportunities to reduce costs, improve bottom line and efficiencies.
  • Assist with technology improvements as required.
  • Perform quality control activities related to reporting and financial submissions.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a numerical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, finance business partnering or a related accounting field.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to "tell the story".
  • Able to distil large volumes of financial data from multiple sources into clear concise reporting and analyse.
  • Advanced skills using enterprise software systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office products. In particular, candidate should be expert with Excel and be able to use advanced features such as linking files, running macros, and using pivot tables.
  • Understand accounting entries and financial language.
  • Experience of multi-currency accounting environment beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing operation and standard costing is a plus but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with Power BI advantageous
