ER Technician I - ED Clear Lake (12p-12a) Webster, Texas, United States New Patient Care UTMB Health Requisition # 2403495 JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide basic technical assistance and supportive patient care to meet the needs of individual patients throughout assigned areas in the Emergency Department. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Minimum Qualifications: High School or equivalent AND completion of one of the following technical programs: Completion of EMT program OR Is enrolled in a recognized School of Nursing and has completed the first semester of education which contains clinical concepts and health assessments OR Active state EMS certification in good standing at the date of hire OR Recognized military training as a US Army medic, US Navy Corpsmen, US Air Force Medic, or US Coast Guard Corpsmen Completion of ER Tech CBO Tool within 6 months of employment LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required: BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) Equal Employment Opportunity UTMB Health strives to provide equal opportunity employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by institutional policy or by federal, state or local laws unless such distinction is required by law.
