ARIZONA GENERAL HOSPITAL Responsibilities Provides oversight of the activities on a nursing unit during a specific shift, including serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources and providing oversight for the provisions of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients. Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG), and participation in inservice education. Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department. Evaluates care given by staff. Coaches staff to improve care. Ensures standard of care is maintained. Exhibits a general understanding of the process for dealing with ethical dilemmas and understands and coordinates the process for obtaining an Ethics Consult. Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000. Advanced Practice Providers and Faculty Physicians can receive up to $90,000 if full-time and hired within a year of completing their residency or fellowship. Part-time providers can receive up to $45,000.
