Location: Sugar Land, TX

Long term contract (6 months or longer)

JOB SUMMARY:



As a Gas Chromatography lab application engineer, you would be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing gas chromatography systems. Your work would involve ensuring the proper functioning of gas chromatography instruments, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support.

  • Duties will involve knowledge of the pressure, temperature, flow and /or analytical products to effectively support our customers and provide solutions for technical difficulties.
    • o provide active support to gas chromatography tuning, preparation of GC operation data and report.
    • Gas chromatography tuning involves columns installation, operation data collection, and handling of gas and liquid cylinders.
    • Ability to troubleshoot gas chromatography issues.
    • Support the manager to ensure the quality of the GC produced and to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the lab.
    • Support the department on the daily operation activities.

Education & Experience:

  • 2 years' experience with GC Valve timing and GC calibration- Validation procedures or applicable technical training, and knowledge of chemistry
  • Associates degree in chemistry
  • Must understand electronic and/or technical and engineering support tools required to perform required tasks.
