Summary / Objective
This utility position has the responsibility to offload resins from railcars and bulk trucks into storage silos. This position is also responsible for keeping the angel hair traps of each silo clean daily. This position is charged with the responsibility of cleaning up any spilled resin inside and outside of the silos.

Essential Functions

1. During the night shift going off must take the railcar inventory at 7:00am each day and deliver to purchasing via email or in person.

2. Must be able to operate all resin pumps proficiently.

3. Must be able to interpret all resin codes.

4. Must read all pumping orders and pump resins into the defined silo in accordance to the pump order instructions.

5. Must ensure the pump is always pumping properly and have second verification process.

6. Must ensure resin is pumping whenever space is available in a silo.

7. Must inspect and clean angel hair traps in the bottom of the bank of silos.

8. Must clean up spills from the bottoms of silos and properly store the cleaned-up resin

9. Help bale scrap when directed.

10. Help clean up on the production floor when directed.

11. You must conform to PPE requirements and Safety Rules.

PPE requirements and Safety Rules

1. Eye protection is required everywhere in the plant

2. Hearing protection is required when crossing the blue lines that are painted on the floor, heading towards the machines

3. Safety toed shoes or boots are required everywhere in the plant.

4. Cut gloves are required to be worn on the opposite hand you use to hold a knife when cutting.

5. Maximum weight allowed to be lifted by one person is 80 pounds. Anything heavier requires the aid from another person, forklift, big joe, or roll handlers.

6. Face shields are required to be worn anytime you are over the die during start-up.

7. Each machine is equipped with multiple safety switches and devices. Although the features are not the same for each machine, they all have safety devices in place to help protect you. These include, pressure sensitive mats, light curtains, pull cords, and emergency stop buttons.

2. Ability to drag the resin pump hose, up and down the rail side

3. Ability to read resin pump instruments

4. Ability to safely operate a forklift

Work Environment

This job operates in a plant inside and outside environment. Pumping resin in the rain will be required.

Physical Demands

Lifting continually 20 to 40 pounds. Standing 80% of the day. Kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead 30% of the day. Operating fork truck for heavy lifting and moving cores to extrusion lines when order is complete.

Position Type and Expected Work Hours

This is a full-time, hourly position. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., or 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., on a rotating monthly schedule. Work week is based on a seven-day cycle and days are varied every other week, with employee working 36 hours and 48 hours, respectively. Some overtime is required.

Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)/
