Position Summary
Premier Radiology is seeking a Lead Patient Service Representative to oversee the Patient Service Representatives to pr ovide courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients for procedures. The Lead PSR assists with the training of new Patient Service Representatives.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides training to new staff
- Improves workflow and processes of the PSR position
- Work as a Medical Receptionist
- Answer incoming phone calls and handle or transfer to the appropriate department
- Greet Patients
- Optimize patient satisfaction
- Maintain Appropriate Medical Records
- Update forms as needed
- Schedule Appointments
- Verify Insurance Benefits, obtain referrals and authorizations as needed
- Process patient payments
- Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information and PHI
- High School or equivalent preferred
- Background in healthcare is required
- Background with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System Preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high productivity environment
- Ability to exercise judgement and make decisions
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff
- Ability to document accurately and concisely
- Excellent phone and computer skills
- Ability to maintain sensitive information in confidence
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize diverse responsibilities
- HIPAA and OSHA knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
