Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering MTS in Chicago, IL:
Job Duties: Keep customer-facing services available at top performance by maintaining constant health of supporting systems by acting on notifications received in email, internal tooling, and reports from partner teams. Serve in key support roles during major incidents. Ensure that work completed by Site Reliability team is executed to comply with company’s internal compliance policy and directives. Discuss and resolve technical issues and escalations with other technical staff as required. Responsible for commission and decommission of Windows OS servers based on needs. Identify and resolve application impact from customer behavior. Assess state of technical stack at the time of change implementations. Collaborate with other members of team in staying on top of key industry innovation and technology. Identify work opportunities while preparing and assisting with the preparation of technical proposals as required. Work to automate detection and resolution of recurring issues in the production environment. Participate in On-Call rotation and serve as an escalation point throughout the assigned On-Call period. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or two (2) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or five (5) years of experience in the job offered.
A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering (any field)).
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Shell scripting; (2) SQL; (3) Maven; (4) Jenkins; (5) CI/CD; (6) Repository management; (7) AWS; (8) Systems administration; (9) Software Configuration Management (SCM). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.
